Natural & Treated Clearly Labelled
We clearly label all natural and heat-treated Citrine separately. You always know exactly what you are buying so you can sell it honestly to your customers.
Most Citrine on the wholesale market is heat-treated Amethyst or Smoky Quartz that has been heated in a kiln to turn it a golden-orange colour. This is very common, widely accepted in the crystal industry, and produces a rich, consistent colour that many buyers prefer over the paler natural variety. Natural Citrine forms in the earth without any heating. It is rarer, typically paler in colour (pale yellow to light honey), and more irregular in tone. It commands a higher price and is sought after by collectors and serious crystal buyers who prefer untreated stones. Both are genuine quartz crystals. Both are sold openly in the crystal market. The key rule is: they must always be correctly described. Heat-treated Citrine must be sold as heat-treated Citrine, not as natural. We label all our stock accurately, so you always know what you have and can sell it with confidence.

Citrine is a yellow to golden-orange variety of quartz. The colour comes from iron impurities within the crystal structure the more iron, the deeper the yellow or orange tone. Natural Citrine forms underground when quartz grows near iron-rich rock or when Amethyst is naturally heated by geological activity over thousands of years. Most Citrine on the market today is produced by artificially heating Amethyst or Smoky Quartz in a kiln, which causes the same colour change that happens naturally in the earth. The result looks similar but tends to be a deeper, more consistent orange-amber compared to the paler, more variable colour of natural Citrine.
Natural Citrine is typically pale yellow to light honey in colour, often with uneven or patchy colouring across the crystal. Heat-treated Citrine is usually a deeper, richer orange-amber or golden-brown a more consistent, saturated colour throughout. Heat-treated clusters often have a white base where the original Amethyst root was, whereas natural Citrine does not. If you are unsure, ask your supplier the honest answer is that most Citrine on the wholesale market is heat-treated, and that is completely fine as long as it is labelled correctly.

Citrine has one of the strongest and most universally appealing stories in the crystal market: it attracts abundance, success, and positive energy. This connects with almost everyone, business owners, students, people starting new jobs, people going through changes. The merchant's stone story keeping Citrine in your cash register or money corner to attract wealth gives it a specific, practical use that customers remember and share with others. Its warm golden colour also photographs very well and works in any retail environment. It sells well year-round, with particular peaks around Chinese New Year, business gifting seasons, and graduations. Very few crystals combine this level of story, colour appeal, and broad buyer audience.
